An iconic venue in Paris’s 20th arrondissement, the Carré de Baudouin is a contemporary art gallery that showcases emerging artists from the local, national, and international scene.
Managed by the 20th arrondissement’s city hall, it curates a variety of events all through the year: exhibitions, talks, workshops, collaborations, and festivals.
Built in the 18th century and classified as a historic monument, the building has been through many different periods. Initially a country house—a Parisian architectural “folly”—it later hosted an orphanage, a medical-social centre, and a youth hostel before becoming the cultural and artistic space we know today.
In 2021, the Carré de Baudouin underwent a major renovation and modernisation. This was also an opportunity to rethink its visual identity, which no longer reflected the spirit of the place. After nine months of construction, the Carré de Baudouin reopened its doors, now sporting a new visual identity designed by Graphéine.
